Due to the postal disruption, plans are in place so that Social Services clients, caregivers, service providers, and vendors receive their payments on time. If clients have questions, they can contact their worker.
Most clients receive payment by direct deposit. Direct deposit is not affected by any postal disruption. We encourage those who still receive cheques to consider switching to direct deposit to prevent any possible future payment delays.
Monthly cheques for the following programs were mailed early and should arrive by November 30, 2018:
- Saskatchewan Assistance Program (SAP);
- Transitional Employment Allowance (TEA);
- Saskatchewan Assured Income for Disability (SAID); and
- Approved Private Service Home (APSH) Level of Care.
Unless you have been informed by the Ministry that you need to pick up a cheque at a Service Centre, cheques are currently being mailed. Clients will be asked to bring photo ID or two other forms of identification when picking up cheques.
If you are expecting a cheque and still have not received it, please contact your worker.
